Hannes Schick was born in the United States. After studying communication, journalism and psychology at the University of Salzburg and Vienna produces its first report on the Israeli – Palestinian conflict.
In 1985 he worked in Paris as a fashion photographer and in advertising. A few years later he decided to move to New York where he discovered a preference for social and geopolitical issues. He has made several reports focusing on these issues: the extermination of the tribes of the Amazon, the Indian peoples of Central America, civil wars in Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador, child prostitution in India and the effects of landmines in Cambodia. Among his collaborations are: Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, King Fashion, Interview, Details, Colors, Maxim. Photo exhibitions in New York, Paris, Milan, Rome, Turin, Trieste and Bolzano.
