Istituto Italiano di Fotografia is in Milan, in the Brenta-Corvetto area, within a urban fabric made of schools, former factories and laboratories. Located close to Porta Romana and 6 metro stations away from Duomo, IIF location is close to the city center and at the same time far from traffic. The quiet atmosphere is also fed by the small park that you can find in front of the entrance. This is the ideal environment for a school, hotbed for new talents and manufacturer of ideas.
Previously, the building was the headquarters of Jacaranda Studios and it originally was a Pirelli factory. The building (that has two floors and covers 700 sm) is wide and essential in its light metalwork from the early twentieth century that, together with the wood and glass, creates the ideal scenario for photography. Since IIF is not only an educational institution, but also a real photography studio in Milan.

On the 300 sm ground floor you can find the reception, a computer lab (with iMacs equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud and professional scanners for negatives), the assistants area, a break room, a studio equipped with a professional kitchen for food photography photo shoots, and two photography studios that can be divided into smaller photo sets thanks to the use of movable walls.
On the first floor, there is an open space with glass walls for the office, and two more day-light studios that can become classrooms when needed. The structure of the building makes IIF not only a school, but also a real photography studio in Milan.
