Project: “It just keeps getting better”
Product: Creative photos interpreting the company slogan
In 2019 Istituto Italiano di Fotografia worked with the famous telecommunications company Nokia for a creative photo project.
After a briefing with the communication and marketing team of HMD Global and under the guidance of IIF teacher Federico Mirarchi, the first-year students of the Professional Biennial Photography Course (academic year 2018/2019) created many creative photos interpreting the company slogan “It just keeps getting better!”, chosen to mark the peculiarity of their phones that improve in time, thank to continuous and punctual updates.
The ten shortlisted photos were displayed at the launch event of Nokia 2.2 that took place at Spazio Scalarini on 6 June 2019. During the event the HMD Global (Nokia’s manufacturer) jury disclosed the names of the three winners.
The first prize was awarded to “Il salto del possibile nell’impossibile (the jump of the possible into the impossible)” by Alice Jankovic, while “Io ce la farò (I will do it)” by Flavia Fusilli and “E tu, ce l’hai fatta (And you, you did it)” by Daniela De Rosa won the joint second place. The three photographers went on stage to explain their interpretation of the subject and receive the recognition they deserved: the first prize was a stay in an Art Residency, the other two prizes were money prizes.
“We would like to thank Istituto Italiano di Fotografia for the precious joint work and congratulate the winners. The cameras of our devices have always been a strong point for our company and we are very interested in emerging talents. That’s why we chose photography to mark a message that we would like to send to all our customers: the improvement in time of our Android One smartphone”.
